The artwork that I decided to write about this week was titled, ‘Urban Exodus’ by Patricia Anderson. She graduated from CSULB last year and her interest falls under the categories of Russian constructivism, propaganda, and abstract art. She loves working with wood, plays alot of sports. She was team captain for ultimate frisbee at CSULB. She finds her inspiration from living in Orange County. She bases her artwork from the surburban living situations such as people being so nice. That is usually the topic of her artwork and she branches out with the ideas of how people live and things they hide behind their personalities such as alcoholism and being gay. I thought that was so interesting that her ideas come form the environment she lives in.
